Did the bunker activation today . I’d made another alteration to the power lead on the G90 which has one with the little plastic tamiya plugs on the back . which are not very robust or secure . the power would occasionally go off mid activation and you’d have to fiddle with the plug and hope for the best . This would sometimes factory reset the radio defaulting all settings . The new ones have Anderson PP connectors. I also updated the software on it which had never been done before . The summit of a frozen wind swept fell was not where I wanted to field test it and find an issue !
Took the EFHW today set up as inverted V with the transformer next to the car about 3ft off the ground and the far end about the same height the centre was about 12ft up . No power cuts or radio software problems and 50 odd contacts all on 40m .
