I’m intending to be out doing the 145 Alive 2m net again , from my usual spot overlooking Moresby NE of Whitehaven . Still waiting to be allocated a frequency . The last couple of events were well supported with people calling in from The Fylde coast in the Fleetwood and Blackpool area , The Isle of Man N Ireland and central Scotland . I believe this time some areas will be running SSB also ( I haven’t got 2m SSB ) .
If you are about on Saturday between 12:00 and 15:00 GMT it will be good to hear from you .
I’m not using a 12.5KHz channel Lee. I was allocated one last time and I moved ,nobody’s scanning 12.5KHz I called and got no replies . also if somebody is 12.5 k above or below you they will probably be TX wide and they can interfere .
Is there a map ? I had no 25k channels that would have conflicted last time .
I emailed them saying pretty much the same thing Lee. Also if you have SOTA/WOTA activators out on the fells or in S Scotland you have to work round , or rather with them .
It’s fair comment about the channel spacing being 12.5 , but from what I have seen most people use 25 KHz on wide and programme that into their memory . There’s only once I can remember answering a cq call on 2m and being asked to qsy to a 12.5k frequency and it was when I was away somewhere .
