I decided to run the net on 145.425 , None of the Scottish or NI nets that were in range were using it and I’m not sure if they were actually running on the day ? Tried 145.3875 that I was given initially and nobody came back to a couple of cq calls , I doubt many people would scanning memories at 12.5 KHz as people don’t seem to use it .
It was a bit more manageable as a proper net than in June when it was a continuous stream of callers most of who could not connect and moved on . This time there were less callers and most of them were able to work each other and stuck around , with the advantage of Derek in his location, and David M0YDH/P from his two WOTA summits ,accompanied by his Dad ( who is 90 years old ! ) he also had a handy pool of contacts to qualify Sale and Ling Fells . I had spoken to him the day before when I was out doing a SOTA on High Rigg .
