Ah nice! are you disabling the screens in the setup for extended life too? those will be perfect 
There are no screens on these. Something less to worry about and makes them a lot cheaper too.
Has anyone got any info on installing the latest firmware on a Heltec V4 and boosting its power output?
New repeater set up today on Carling Knott facing north. Covering the coast and some of southern Scotland.

Other node donate to help only a v3 but gets someone interested in the hobby and hopefully mite gets them to grow with friends
I cant remember but, I either just flashed from the meshcore site and ‘tx set 22’ or downloaded the nightly and then did ‘set tx 22’. According to my tiny sa the output was 28.something db.. as soon as I get the mast up I will have a look at which firmware it says it is.
Very well done, according to the line of sight map I should soon be able to connect to that.

Progress report
1st beam on the wall, and its level
Now the tricky part is getting the next 2 beams on top of it (sometimes I have a cunning plan, and sometimes I cant remember what it was, lol)
Each beam is 3m, so the choices are either add 1 and then add another, or join 2 and then try to get them on top, I will have rope and pulleys…. but no sky hook, lol
Or a most cunning plan ‘g’ (I’ve already used up plans a through f) take it down and then connect all 3 on the ground and thennnn lift it all in one piece using a pully on the chimney

But, lol ….. Tried to lift all 9m and failed horridly, needed maybe 3 or 4 peeps but hey I managed to get 6 meters up on the wall without killing my self. I was really hoping to pole the rest for 15m antenna but its looking like I will have to settle for 12.
The new box with a v4 will connect directly to the yagi pigtail and have 5v supply with 1 18650 as a back up for mains failure, the box has a translucent lid so with a telescope I should be able to see the led come on when it transmits 
Onwards and upwards.

where did you get the mounts and mast from ?
I got pins and clips to join the beams, but they don’t hold them rigid, so used sleeves instead.
If you have any scaffolding people locally then used stuff is much cheaper

This is great. my indoor west facing yagi picked up a message via this node earlier in broughton cross.
So far so good, and ready for raising the mast.
Forgive the less than ideal placement of the top brackets but its due to the brickwork being ‘very poor’ (insert far more accurate / common trade term).
How high’s that going? are you building the worlds first space elevator?
